Al Ain, the leader of the ADNOC Pro League for professional football, has resumed its tradition of signing Romanian midfielders by contracting international Adrian Șut until 2028. He comes from the Romanian club «FC S B», becoming the club's first deal during the winter transfer window. Șut will be ready for his first appearance in the «Abu Dhabi clásico» against Al Wahda next Saturday, as part of the 13th round of the league.Șut will wear the number 89 jersey with «The Violets», evoking the memory of Mirel Rădoi, who wore the Al Ain shirt between 2011 and 2014. During that period, Rădoi successfully played one of the most important tactical roles in the defensive midfield position, which makes the new recruit aware of the nature of the task awaiting him in the heart of the midfield. In a video interview published by the club on its «X» platform, Șut said about Rădoi: «I remember growing up watching him on TV. In Romania, when I was little, Rădoi was playing in my favorite team, and then I had the chance to play in that favorite team».He added: «Rădoi was one of the legends in Romania, and when he came to Al Ain, he was a legend too. He was a very important player with a great personality, and I am very happy to be here after him».Șut continued: «I am here to put my heart on the pitch and to fight to win championships every year and to make the fans of 'The Leader' happy».While Al Ain is strengthening its squad in its quest to continue competing for the top spot, Baniyas' Romanian coach Daniel Isaila did not hide his conviction that Șut will face a serious challenge to secure a starting spot in Al Ain's lineup.Isaila told the Romanian newspaper «ProSport» a day before the official announcement of the deal: «If the deal goes through, Șut will face fierce competition, whether from local or foreign players. Șut is a valuable player and can impose himself, but he may have difficulty playing regularly».
